“Morning” is a music video of pianist/composer Thomas Cunningham playing his original piano solo. The video itself is rather grainy, perhaps as a softening effect, but that doesn’t detract from the music at all as the sound quality is very good. I reviewed Thomas’ debut and second albums, The Exiled Heart (1999) and The Story Garden (2006), and then didn’t hear from him until just recently when he said he was getting back to his music creations. Thomas plans to release a new album sometime this year. In the meantime, he is posting music videos on his YouTube channel as well as on his website. The inspiration for the music came from Brazos Bend State Park in Fort Bend Country, Texas in the morning. Gentle and relaxed, it’s a great re-introduction to Thomas and his music and I look forward to hearing what else he has up his musical sleeve(s)!
